"Is Anyone out There?"

To enter the life of a child for a day,
We think of laughter, we think of play.
Oh but sadly, joy turns to fear
When they reach out for love, but love is not near.
Is anyone out there? Does anyone care?

Broken dreams and promises, broken hearts and then,
Broken homes and lives, will this never end?
There’s the cry of a child, saying, this isn’t fair,
Is anyone out there? Does anyone care?

Oh to mend back the pieces, so torn apart,
To show love and compassion to each broken heart.
God let us be broken before you today
So You will mold this vessel of clay.
I know You are out there, I know that You care.

Let us remember, a child will soon grow,
But with pieces still broken, that may never show.
The future of a child, just may depend,
When we take time, to be their friend.
Oh let us be out there, as people who care!
