"A Dozen Red Roses"
A dozen red roses,
he brought her one day.
To help bring back the joy,
that had been drifting away.
With a kiss she said thank you,
but the joy wasn’t there.
So he took her by hand,
as she brushed back a tear.
He said; let me tell you twelve
reasons,
why I love you more today.
He didn’t try and fix her,
he didn’t even pray!
In the morning the red roses
were
wilted,
like a rag doll toy.
She said; I feel the roses have taken
all my sadness,
and gave me all its joy.
