Poem - The Maker Of Time

"The Maker of Time"

Time, what is time? We can waste it.
We can lose it, but we can never reuse it.
Some say that it flies; others say that it’s long,
So who is right, and who is wrong?

If time could stand still, or slow down a pace,
Perhaps then, we would not be in such a race.
On the other hand, what do we know?
For so many people, time is quite slow!

The Maker of time, did He make a mistake?
Or could it be we abuse time, with excuses we make?
Saying there is not enough time, and the time isn’t there.
Sometimes we act, as if we don’t even care.

You see, there’s not much of it left, it is quickly going.
Have we used our time well, and have we been showing,
God’s love and salvation, that is freely given,
For time is eternal, with our Maker in Heaven.
